How it all Began
Vinod Nair exits his corporate career at Juniper Networks to build a medical practice platform with cloud based electronic health records (EHR) and provider-patient communications.
Medical Billing Software Launch
After 22 months of development that includes beta testing within medical practices and medical billing companies, PracticeSuite medical billing system is brought into production.2006
EHR Software Launch
Releases first version EHR that closely resembles paper charting. Cloud based UI surpasses legacy systems of its time. Ahead of its time, provider-patient communication platform fails to resonate with market.2007
Full Platform Launch with Patient Portal
PracticeSuite is launched as a single unified whole-practice platform: PM, EHR, and Portal Solution to begin its mission of removing the operational burden faced by medical professionals in private practice.
Partnerships and Growth Milestones
PracticeSuite’s Value-Added Reseller program is launched which sees growth of over 110 strategic resellers throughout the United States.

Meaningful Use Certification and Platform Expansion
Due to increasingly complex health care regulations, PracticeSuite continues to develop and evolve its EHR & Practice Management platform for upcoming mandatory quality measure reporting. Meaningful Use Stage 1 achieved 6 months ahead of schedule. Overcoming the complex claim processing requirements presented by each state/payer, the company now serves providers in 35 states.
Launch of Free Medical Billing Software
Free medical billing software program launched, signing up +200 practices each month.
Chiropractic Billing and EHR Launch
Launch of sub-brand for chiropractic deployed on a freemium model. The free billing and SOAP notes EHR gains attention from chiropractors nationwide.
ICD-10 Compliance and Physical Therapy software Launch
PracticeSuite’s technology platform achieves ICD-10 compliance six months before the October mandate. Launch of sub-brand billing and EHR to meet the needs of Physical Therapists deployed on a freemium model.
Launches RCM Services
With over 17,000 medical professionals now using the PracticeSuite platform, the company continues employee growth to over 60 employees and at the request of long-time surgical specialty clients, begins providing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and managed billing services.
Meaningful Use Stage 2 Certification
PracticeSuite’s EHR system becomes one of the first end-to-end, practice management solution to achieve MU2 certification, allowing its thousands of qualified medical practitioners to continue providing care using a fully certified clinical solution and attest for Meaningful Use.
Record Customer and Company Growth
PracticeSuite expands to over 35,000 medical professionals and +100 employees and strategic technology partnerships using the platform. In addition, PracticeSuite continues to expand its RCM Managed Services division. Presence in all 50 states, Peurto Rico and Cayman Island.
Radiology Expansion & New East Coast Office
PracticeSuite acquires a radiology medical billing company and opens customer success office in Tampa, Florida.
